The Columbia Queen undergoing Coast Guard trials on the Willamette River after a total conversion completed in under five months.

The ship cruises at 10.5 knots under its main engines and 12 knots with the azimuthing stern thrusters providing additional power. It is USCG certified to cruise from the port of Astoria at the mouth of the Columbia River to Lewiston, Idaho, the head of navigation of the Snake River.
