Long Beach

The 987' X 166' SeaRiver Long Beach lifted in Cascade General's Drydock 4. The main deck was re-coated; tailshaft inspected, propeller polished, guard rails and five shelters installed for "safe bow access." Fourteen new ballast-tank cleaning machines were fitted on deck.

The underwater hull was high-pressure washed, degreased and spot-blasted to SP-10. All the blasted areas were given two coats of primer then the vertical underwater areas (135,000 sq.ft.) given two coats of anti-fouling.

The hull was hydro-blasted at 3000 psi pressure to remove all salts, grease, dirt, etc. prior to painting.

The after peak tank (116,390 sq.ft.) was blasted and completely re-coated.
